Lollipop’s Playland & Café Castle Hill is available for exclusive private hire any night. We can cater for your food requirements or you can self cater. Staff will be on duty to ensure that your event runs smoothly.

We are the ideal place for any function where children are involved. You have exclusive use of the Playland, ensuring that children are in a safe environment. You can relax and enjoy the night. We make it easy for your:

  • School/Association fundraisers or Social nights
  • Large Family gatherings
  • Corporate events
  • Sporting club presentations
  • Christmas parties
  • Religious celebrations

Please note: the venue is not available for teens, 18th or 21st Parties

FAQs

  1. How much does it cost?

    $600 per hour for a minimum 2 hours with a maximum of 3 hours.
    A deposit of 50% of which $250 is non-refundable is required to secure your booking. An additional $150 is required in the case your party takes longer than 15 minutes to vacate the centre, this is refundable if parties vacate on time. Events must finish by 10.00pm.

 

  1. Can Lollipops cater for my function?

    Yes, we would be more than happy to help.

We have a wide choice of hot and cold items for you to choose from and can discuss options that work for you.

Alternatively we can have the café open for your guests to purchase food and drinks on the night. There is a minimum spend of $150 if you wish to have the café open for food purchases.

 

  1. Can I bring my own food?

    Yes, your own food can be brought in for your private function. We are a nut-free zone. We will set out tables for your use but we ask that you set out your buffet yourself.

 

  1. Can I use the kitchen facilities on the night?

    Access to our kitchen facilities will incur an additional $150 charge. We ask that the food be delivered 1 hour prior to your function starting.

If you are using an outside caterer we will need them to visit the premises prior for a safety tour and will need a copy of their Public Liability Insurance.

The use of equipment brought in by caterers is on a case by case basis.

 

  1. Do I need to supply my own plates, cups, cutlery etc?

    Yes, if self catering you will need to supply all your own crockery, cutlery, platters, napkins, sauces etc for the function. Please use paper or plastic cups. However, if Lollipops is catering your function and/or you are purchasing from the cafe on the night, Lollipops will supply all necessary crockery.

 

  1. Do the staff serve food during the function?

Our staff do not function as your wait staff but we will set out tables for your use.

Please set out your buffet yourself.
If the café is open, we deliver to tables using our number system.

 

  1. Do I need to clean up at the end of the night?

    We ask that you pack up your belongings, but otherwise our staff will take care of cleaning on the night. We ask that any tables that were moved are returned to their original location and that all rubbish is placed in the bins supplied and positioned around the Playland for you.

There is an additional cleaning charge of $100 if we are required to clean up vomit or toilet accidents or find that rubbish or food has not been taken away.

An additional cleaning fee of $150 is added to parties with more than 80 guests.

 

  1. Hours of hire

    You are required to leave the Playland at the prescribed time. Lollipops will allow 15 minutes to vacate the premises after your function has finished. If you take longer than 15 minutes we will charge you for the extra time at 15 minute charged at $150 per 15 minutes.

 

  1. When can I come in to set up for my function?

    You can come in to start setting up 15 minutes prior to the commencement of your function. We ask that there are no more than 4 people assisting with set up. Guests will be allowed in from the start of the function.

 

  1. Sound System

    Our sound system is capable of playing a Spotify playlist from an iPhone. Please check at time of booking and we can help you get the atmosphere just right.

 

  1. Can we bring glitter and sparklers?

    We request no glitter, sparklers or party poppers. Helium balloons must be weighted.

 

  1. Do you have Halal options?

    Yes we have a varied menu with Halal certified products available.

 

  1. Will the staff supervise the children in the playground?

    Staff are present for general supervision and the security of our company, however your function leader is responsible for the evening. You need to take control and make sure that all Play Safe Rules are being followed:

 

 

Play Safe Rules

 

Lollipop’s Playland has been designed for safe and enjoyable use by children 0-11 years. However, be aware there are inherent risks involved in indoor play and the use of play equipment.

 

  • No running
  • No climbing up slides – only for sliding down
  • No over boisterous behavior
  • No flips or jumping from equipment
  • Only children under 3 in the Toddler Area
  • No climbing on walls of jumping castle
  • Be considerate of all, particularly watching out for any younger children
  • Socks must be worn at all times
  • No food or drink is to be taken into the equipment

 

  1. If our guests cause damage or break anything in the Playland, are we responsible?

    Yes you are.

Credit card details are required prior to the commencement of the function. If there are any breakages or damage, or if our premise is left in an unacceptable state, Lollipops will contact you about the cost to rectify the issue.

We will send you an Acknowledgement Form accepting the terms and conditions of hire for a Private Hire Event and ask that you provide that to us at least 48 hours prior to your function.
